Secondary Nevada, Washington, Oregon)Objectives

Provide direct project management and support for urban forestry planning projects (80%).

Support of sales and project development (10%).

Support and drive urban forestry planning market growth (10%).

Perform and manage urban forest planning projects with or without supervision, including management plans, master plans, operations review, resource analysis, and ordinance review.

Manage and support all aspects of multiple concurrent projects including timelines, scheduling, technical report and plan writing and review, performing administrative duties, mentoring and staff training, maintaining and implementing safety training, delegating and overseeing project tasks, and working closely with clients.

Conduct and support stakeholder engagement activities, including presentations, public surveys, research, data collection and analysis, graphics, and plan preparation (writing, editing) to fulfill scope of work and project objectives.

Lead meetings with municipal officials, community organizations, advisory committees, and other government agencies in support of project objectives.

Manage multiple projects at one time.

Responsible for direct client communication and all project deliverables.

Perform administrative duties, including project performance tracking, analysis, invoice projections, and invoicing.

Coordinate with other UF Project Managers and remote DRG staff (including planners, arborists, marketing, and GIS staff) for task support and development of innovative and useful tools and deliverables.

Support project development and marketing pursuits and initiatives with proposals, budget development, industry involvement, and positive client interactions.

Participate in national, regional, and local marketing strategies such as events; webinars; and sponsorships.

Attend, exhibit, and/or present at regional and national conferences and identify and participate in public speaking and networking opportunities.

Participate on industry-related boards, commissions, and committees as appropriate and approved.

Build and maintain industry-level thought-leadership in urban forestry planning, management plans, operations reviews, and ordinance consulting.

Travel as needed to fulfill project requirements and strategic marketing goals.

Pursue and/or maintain advanced industry credentials such as ISA Certified Arborist–Municipal Specialist and Board Certified Master Arborist credentials.

Provide and maintain a home office environment generally free from distractions.

Remain compliant with Davey safety training requirements.

Project Performance measured by profitability, work/deliverables quality, and client satisfaction

Utilization rate (80%+)

QualificationsRequirements

Bachelor’s degree or higher in related discipline or equivalent experience in a similar position

ISA Certified Arborist required. Municipal Specialist and Board Certified Master Arborist preferred

Exceptional written and oral communication skills

Two or more years of leadership experience in urban forestry management or planning

Compensation

$50/month personal cell phone stipend or DRG provided cell phone

$50/month stipend for home internet service
